In this document we present the desing package, a Maple program for embedded desingularization of subschemes of smooth varieties over fields of zero characteristic. We give the specifications of the provided procedures and the used data structures, together with the special features of the package. The program comes in precompiled form with the full source code available under the GNU GPL. The newest version with online documentation is available at the desing home page.
