MaD2

MaD2: an ultra-performance stream cipher for pervasive data encryption. MaD2 is an ultra-performance stream cipher that runs into one clock cycle per byte on a typical personal computer. With an encryption/decryption rate significantly higher than the disk data transfer rate, it can be employed to secure data at rest with almost no user observable performance degradation. The cipher resists various known cryptanalytic attacks. Its keystream demonstrates good statistical properties and clears all the NIST statistical tests, the new Diehard battery of tests, and the TestU01 batteries of tests.
